Linux newsletter author answers questions over editorial influences

Over the last several weeks, many readers have brought up the fact that Microsoft signed on as a sponsor of this newsletter at the beginning of November. At the same time, the last several newsletters have dealt with a report issued by a research firm that was critical of Linux.
