DistroWatch reports - Getting closer to the 1.0 release, the developers of PC-BSD have announced the first release candidate of the user-friendly operating system based on FreeBSD: PC-BSD 1.0 release candidate 1 is now available! This release is 'feature complete', for what was planned for the 1.0 version, and includes many enhancements and bug fixes over previous versions. It is also the first desktop based on FreeBSD 6.0. OSDir has some sweet screenshots of PC-BSD 1.0 RC1.
