I agree it's pretty much a waste of money from a marketing standpoint and kind of silly to play MS' game on their turf. That being said maybe it makes the developers fell better at least something is being done. Second the Press around the Ad should not be underestimated |

Firefox benefits from being perceived as the best Windows browser on the planet, period. And there's the recommendation for you. Advertising a free product purely for advocacy is not likely to win many recruits. Interesting as an experiment, though. |

Think of firefox as a product and you realize it needs advertising. |
