Your post has more detailed content than the article. I also agree with you about the potential impact IF the European Union really selects the OpenOffice.org file format. I just do not want to get my hopes too high, having seen too much back pedaling on other issues that seemed to have initial promise. In some ways it is better if the barriers fall to the ants rather than the forces of nature. As long as the advance is steady no matter how many apparent setbacks the goal will be reached. |
