"Four major Linux companies are bonding together to create a united Linux core distribution around the Linux Standard Base with broad industry support." There once was a new shiny alliance of Linux Knights, calling themselves UnitedLinux. Then One of the Knights was struck with an evil called Greed and the merry group fell apart. It seems two Knights of that group couldn't resist and banded together with two new Knights to form a new brotherhood called LLC. Let's hope they can make a dent in the market and that this time nothing foul will drive them apart. Maybe they should offer to work together with the more community oriented distros... The more the merrier and the more such core systems will become the norm. |
