AC: it's probably all of the spy-ware compatibility that's holding up its release. You know, there's probably some testing lackey at Microsoft's labs that right at this very minute saying something to the effect of "Build number 231455 doesn't run the latest version of Gator! This goes back to development."

@PaulFerris:

What's Gator?

Or is it just showing my RFC-uncompliance I don't know what Gator is?

Is it available for Linux too? And more important, can I emerge it?

Sorry Gator is best viewed with IE.

Please complain to the Wine people, as they haven't gotten it working yet.

Side note: I am trying to track down a couple of windows viruses that have infected my roommates XP machines(they don't listen) anyway, I am checking out various sites to see where the problems are coming from. I drag one site out and it says best viewed with IE. Okay so I run IE 5.2(Mac edition) and it says this site can only be viewed with IE.

Now isn't that suspiscous. A site that won't work with anything but Windows machines?

hkw: Gator -- infamously popular spyware. The funny thing is, a lot of the victims were unaware of how it got installed from my experience;

ME: What's this GATOR thing?

WIN USER: I don't know, it showed up one day when I was surfing the web.

ME: Why don't you get rid of it?

WIN USER: I tried, but I can't.

(endless loop from here on out -- it's spyware).
