Good to see "stealth lock-in" being called out

Even though the Squiz people may well have good intentions, this is exactly the sort of lock-in which has plagued the Australian government for as long as I've dealt with it. Squiz getting called to the carpet over it will make the next blackguard think a bit more before trying the same stunt.

Now I'd like to see a few of the other contractors who regularly deal with Government (like Pretzel) forced to go back and rework the code they've shipped to be standard and accessible (at their own cost) rather than proprietary and locked down to MSIE-on-Win32.
