Here is my problem with this piece: " Second prize goes to: http://linuxtoday.com/. It's good but it has a little too much advertising. It doesn't take much drilling to get to the meat of the subject and, like Lxer, offers excellent news updates and user inputs."

That ruined it for me. Since I have not visited that site for years now, it might be possible that it has improved. However, from the most recent discussions I have seen on this site, I tend to doubt it.

Actually, since dave initiated both sites (regardless of the atrophy of LinuxToday), he has to feel some serious satisfaction. Actually, Dave Whitinger and Dwight Johnson got the original LT off the ground. Still, it says a lot ;)
