Can we expect so see this used in PCs anytime soon? I wonder how it would stack up against Intel/AMD.

Probably quite nicely, if not down right aggresively... it can only appeal to Linux users and only to those who also adopted Linux on platforms like PPC, Alpha, Itanic, etc.

Some (a minority at best) of Linux users will love it. Won't make an impact in the datacenter or corporate work space (not in volume).
