Not good news. Debian is the foundation for many good distros. I don't think we can afford, as a community, to see Debian go down.

Not that it's very likely to happen.

Debian has always been a problematic distribution for a variety of reasons, but it has always survived.

I doubt that's getting ready to change.

What does this author have against Debian? A quick google search shows a systemmatic bias on his part, IMHO. Debian has a stellar reputation for stability, notwithstanding the recent relatively minor issues with the Sarge release.

While the content of his articles is fine, but just look at the sensational character of his titles. To me, they appear to be designed to spread a FUD against debian, as most people may only catch a glimpse of the title, but not have the time to read the full article. IMO, it's like he is waiting in his wings to catch the next piece of bad news about Debian, and rush out to tell the whole world in the most sensational way possible,
