If Linux is to become the dominant desktop OS that it should be, all of the Linux community needs to get behind it. Even Novell dose not have the might to defeat the current leader.

Linux will become dominant on the desktop, just give it time. Yes the current leader is well entrenched and not easy to defeat, but persistence will pay off. Linux is making substantial advances on the server and the desktop will follow.

Novell is not Linux. Novell is just one player, an important one but just one. IBM, Oracle, HP, Red Hat, and many others are already adjusting their business towards FOSS. They are moving slowly, but they have no choice but to join and support FOSS. MS doesn't have friends other than the lackey journalist. Just recently, IBM is more active in supporting their customers and encouraging them to move to Linux. Linux has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Time will tell and we are patient and you have a nice day.
