There is a way to do this and make it work:

Turn the entire study into a reality TV show.

What?

After you get past the recriminations and finger pointing, all this story does is confirm that Martin Taylor really has sold his soul to the Devil.

Amusingly, when I read it, the ad that appeared next to this story was one of those MSFT "get the facts" ads derided by people quoted in the story.

Monopoly rents obtained by MSFT on Windows and Word are so great that they can run specially targeted advertising. Wow. Must be nice to have that much money. Must be nice to have so much money you don't really have to think too hard about how to spend it.

Now I feel anger that society compelled my wife to buy a copy of "Office 2004" or whatever the freshness date was. People have given me the only Windows machines I've ever personally owned, and I immediately put various Linuxes on them.

ph-solid!

On the money as usual...

"...Martin Taylor really has sold his soul to the Devil."

I have wondered, myself, how those people cope. Do they return home and kick the dog, or much worse?
