As a former Turbo Pascal devotee and Delphi user, I was disappointed by the failure of Kylix to achieve traction in the Linux community. What other RAD tools are available in Linux? And has anyone evaluated execution speed of the compiled RealBasic code relative to C++ or Java?

Not evaluated the compiler but the Realbasic Development enviroment is extremely slow on my 1GHz 500MB Ram, PcLinuxos based box. Making it unuseable for me.
