Computers are still mysteerious blacke boxens, full of ye demons, to too many people, including those who should know better. Back in my consulting days I often recommended AMD- more bang for the buck. But nooo, the same managers who turned pale at the thought of actually paying wages to
workers (ah, for the good old days of slavery) didn't hesitate to spec out overpriced Intel CPU-based systems. No no, can't have AMD, because, um well, something might not work right. Humans are such odd little critters. |

tuxchick - Darned humans! We should get rid of all...whoops!! Almost forgot. Anyway, Opteron seems to be opening at least a few doors for AMD. Maybe the time will come when nobody gets fired for buying Intel OR AMD. |
