I bought a pre-installed Linux box a few years ago from pogo Linux. They are a small oem in some town in Washington state. I think the name is 'Redmond'. Seems to be a regional center for computers and computer related products.

Well any way, I had SuSE 9.1 pre-installed. I just changed a few settings after I set up the machine. I knew how, having used SuSE for e few years.

I can see how this would make it nicer for the end purchaser who didn't know how to set these things yet.

Very nice idea.

Number6x: let them all eat crow. If they don't know how to install Linux, go to the Linux Documentation project and read until you learn how. Enough of this GUI stuff. Don't ask questions unless you already know the answer. And you're on the wrong mailing list.

Other than that, we don't need no stinking noobies.
