Open source DOES induce piracy

It seems the DRM crowd feels it necessary to steal open source code to implement their features. If it weren't for open source, they would have to write code themselves instead of pirate it. And then they have the gall to call the OSS community, from whom they pirated their source, the thieves.

Isn't it interesting how the people tasked with enforcing copyrights do not respect copyrights?

I think you mean people don't comply with the GPL.
