This is a big loss for MS. With this contract, Novell prevented MS from taking over the whole IT organization of NHS. Keeping its business with NHS, Novell has a great and important opportunity to demonstrate the benefits and value of FOSS in such large organizations. I would say the big winner here, in the long run if not immediately, is NHS. |
