This is awesome! I love reading about schools that take the free software road. With proprietary software, teachers are put in the position of concealing information. They're not allowed to show any inquisitive student how the tools work. With free software, they can even say, "Here, take this copy home with you and see what you can do." It's the difference between providing and hiding knowledge. |
