Microsoft turned to Akami to mirror their on-line presence when loads get heavy. Akami uses Linux.

Microsoft chose a Linux based solution for its in-house Wireless network.

Whenever things get tough or demand stability Microsoft is happy to use Linux.

They just don't want anyone else using it that's all.
