wow. a whole 1200 developers surveyed. i'm sure that gives a great sampling of what developers use. while i agree eclipse may not be the best of all it is definitely not the worst. and it's free. and it's multiplatform. plus the plugins to support different programming languages and features. alot of which are free or low-cost. personally, i prefer screen + vi for programming, but i also know many people that use eclipse for the reasons i glossed over above |

I was wondering how it was so popular if it was such poor quality. |
