Can anyone help me find a screenshot of the Ubuntu updater. showing updates ready? You know, the little box drops down to let you know it's time to update. I want a shot of the box, if possible. I need this by 2:00 AM US EDT. (You can e-mail your screenshot to: don at our site dot com) Thanks! |

I don't have access to an Ubuntu machine at the moment, but you might find what you are looking for here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallingSoftware#head-f2... At the bottom of the page is a screenshot that you can save to your hard drive. |

Ah, that one. It's actually pretty nice. (I tend to skip articles with titles like that nowadays. Just rehashing old arguments, usually.) The Ubuntu pick was a nice touch. |

Well, Adrian's article over at ZDnet picked on Ubuntu update as being too geeky. I just had to use a screenshot to show stupid that remark was. I mean, honestly. the balloon tells you what to do. But that's too geeky for some people. Sheesh! |

I finally got another one on our Hall of Fame Page: http://lxer.com/module/newswire/hof.php I haven't done that since last year. It gets harder and harder over time to keep getting the article views that high. Everytime you break one record, the barrier is raised to break the next. ;-) |
