Why is that enough said?

One very short contract to do a specific task, with no effort to hide the fact?

Sorry, pal, but there is nothing wrong with that.

The problem comes when you take money and don't disclose the fact.

May be he didn't hide the facts, but he sure twisted them badly.

Well, there's nothing wrong with it, except other people refer to Mr. Jeliffe (statements) as a 'thrustworthy' independent person when it comes to opinions about OpenXML and ECMA376, without adding Microsoft paid the guy.

They guy also earns by selling XML-desktop tools, so the more XML-ISO standards, the more bucks for him. Off course he wants as much XML standards as possible, what'd you expect?

Nothing wrong with it, but people shouldn't believe his crap.

When you say that, you sound as bad as you accuse this guy to be. By the evidence, Microsoft paid him to do one rather small thing. If Microsoft paid him to flog OpenXML, or regularly paid him to puff their stuff, that would matter greatly.

From what I can see, you're just making yourself look silly.

>They guy also earns by selling XML-desktop tools, so the more XML-ISO standards, the more bucks for him.

That, OTOH, makes a ton of sense.
