Gentoo fork?

The reason this very preliminary distro may be getting a lot of attention is the present fractious state of Gentoo. Notice that they say they are keeping the number of developers down to a small select group to avoid "bullsh**". Someone asked them why they didn't just improve an existing distro. The lead dude said because they tried Gentoo and got nowhere.

A split from Gentoo to do what Gentoo does/did might not be a bad thing, either from them or for Gentoo, and users would most definitely benefit. I think of Kanotix and the split of Sidux, which is an absolutely beautiful and wonderful distro.

I agree, I like Sidux alot. Easy to configure and easy to use.
