Why doesn't he offer to buy MySQL back for the amount he was paid to sell it in the first place? I know getting it for free is always nice. But is it fair? |

He may have done that already. And, honestly, if I were Sun Microsystems, I would have laughed in his face. When someone wants to buy something back, it's usually because he/she has seen its value grow, and regrets selling it to begin with. Hello, buyback price goes up instantly. Plus, the new owner isn't going to put in a lot of work to purchase $X, only to lose the investment of effort by selling $X for the same purchase price. |

He _may_ have done that. But somehow I doubt. I get the impression this is nothing but a money grab. I am definitely not going to sign his petition. |
