Amusing ad in my view of this article

When I had a look at this article (using Chromium on Arch Linux, ironically), the major advertisement was for a service that did "Microsoft Licensing - Explained!"

Let me break that down just a bit further:

The article advocates using Chromium rather than Chrome, at least in part to avoid a "creepy" Chrome EULA that gave possession of all the material you view with Chrome to Google.

The advertisement on the article illustrates further why this sort of thing is a problem: current licensing has so much complication that you need a third party, specializing in licensing, to tell you about that licensing.
