This post isn't noise. Petros Koutoupis gets it absolutely right and pierces one of the most persistent myths about Linux vs. Windows. You don't need the command line in either. The command line is incredibly useful in both. Professional systems admins always end up on the command line regardless of the choice of OS. For those of us who advocate Linux this cannot be said often enough.

You may be right, but I couldn't help but think what I posted when I read this part of his introduction:

An intro like that also makes me think, "Then why should I read YOUR 2 cents?"
