Sharing Alternatives to Windows IE6 and MACs safari.

Yes I use both LinuxMint and PuppyLinux both are fairly easy to install the first time. Very easy to try without installing simply by booting the LiveCD versions. Puppy also installs from the LiveCD to a USB Flash disk drive. So you can show on your friends computer booting from a USB Flash drive. All the O/S, programs, and data are saved to that flash drive. This means that nothing is left or changed to your friends computer. You take your new files, programs, and data with you after you shutdown completely and remove the USB flash drive back to your pocket!

http://www.puppylinux.com/download give it a try, only 130MB .iso file to download and burn image to a CD disk at slow 8x speed. You will then have a PuppyLinux LiveCD to boot a computer with out installing or changing the hard disk drive.

@WB7ODYFred I think that PuppyLinux is faster for PCs with less resources than is LinuxMint. For USB disk drives, you might also want to check out Pendrivelinux.com for much info on creating LiveUSBs.

Pendrive Linux used to atleast have their own spin too. Very snappy and fun, based off of Mandriva IIRC.
