You are most correct Glyn, we do need an umbrella "Your already running Linux" advertising campaign or some such. It would..it could give the Linux 'brand' the kick start it needs to get into the cultural lexicon.

It has been tried before...by people who had great ideas. I'm going to stick to growing the LXer "brand" methinks.

Design-wise, that (no doubt trademarked) "Intel Inside" swirl can be morphed into something more like the profile of the head of the penguin on LinuxToday, at least to the top end of the ribbon becoming a sharp beak. Maybe the text inside can read "Linux Everywhere".

If that inspires someone to sketch it out, good; I haven't done real logo design in decades.

Getting the artwork done is simple. I have the resources to get this done....now how are we going to get the manufactures to use it?
