Sensible and reasonably in depth. Did not find much to disagree with here having used this distro version for a month or two now. The comment about reduced battery life for laptops was particularly appreciated. This is a kernel issue that seems to be getting worse not better with succeeding releases. There is a long standing bug open on launchpad connected with kernel interrupts. It gets very little developer attention which puzzles me. A 3 hour versus 5 hour battery life is a severe issue imo. Someone needs to wake Linus up on this. It is basically his fault not Ubuntu although they should be talking to kernel devs . |

That bug, as you point out, is not limited to Ubuntu. On my HP Mini 110, which has less than 3 hours of battery life with the standard battery under the best of circumstances, this really is a problem. |
