Dennis Ritchie is the giant whose might is responsible for the principles on which both modern operating systems and programming languages are built. His humility, combined with brilliance are just amazing. There isn't a single controversy that targeted Dennis Ritchie. The limited attention that he drew in life and death should only boost our respect for him. This is yet another reminder that some public figures attract extensive media coverage more by dabbling in controversies than doing great things. |
