Darkduck is starting to sound like a single tune with this insistence that live CD's are the be all and end all.

Quoting:Most teams actually only produce a live image with an option to install.

While "most" may be accurate, the major distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, CentOS, etc.) provide both Live and install only or alternative installation ISO's.

Don't give up Darkduck, someone will eventually agree with you.

I guess we'll never see a Dark Duck review of Slackware. How will I ever cope?

Newbie users are put off Linux by "ugly wallpaper". Hmmm... just when I though Dark Duck's drivel couldn't get any worse he surprises me by delivering even more inaccurate and useless nonsense.

@jdixon, I hope you'll survive without my Slackware reviews.:)

Just in case, there were still some in that area even on LXer: http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/155948/index.html or http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/166974/index.html

Strange that nobody blamed me in using Live image to review them... {scratching my head...}

Sorry, darkduck, I probably should have put a smiley after that. Since Slackware doesn't provide a live CD, it seemed gilding the lily to do so, but given how easy misunderstandings are...

While I haven't found much of anything you've posted interesting or useful enough to bother with, I don't have any real objection to your articles either.
