I read this as

"Can you believe it? Our esteemed Editor-in-Chief has been trolling at LXer for five freaking years! "

Can this be true :)

Well done Scott!

I can't believe you Carla..your too much..xoxo.

Thank you all for the kind words. It means everything to me that I have "done right" by the FOSS news community. To say that I am emotionally involved with LXer, its future, its past and its place on the Internet is to state the obvious..

It it my hope and prayer that I continue to be worthy of this position for a long time to come.

@Scott --

Don't get big-headed, big guy.

I saw thanks and congratulations. I didn't see anybody claim you were worthy!

Regardless, it's been nice having you around all this time.

OMG!

You mean someone's actually in charge of this asylum!? And he's lasted five years?

Poor fellow! Have a beer on me.

(Good job!)

A lot. I'm sure he's gotten a few gray hairs from it.

You've done a good job, Scott. The fact that I'm still here and haven't been kicked off by now is the exception which proves the rule. :)

Thanks from me too. LXer is my startup page in FF for several years now. Wouldn't miss it for the world

On my x86 devices, my start page is my email.

On my ARM devices, my start page is LXer. (Because an app handles email. ;-)

I dunno...but Scott should post a photo of himself at the beginning of his "tour" and now...kind of like they do with presidents. Of course, with presidents, they only show the haggard features and gray hair in the later shots....not the bong and empty beer bottles strewn around.

Wait....that was me and it was only after 1 year as a senior editor. I can't imagine it running this madhouse.

Way to hammer Scott, and thank you.
