I am going to be out of town this coming weekend, taking my girl to Los Angeles and San Diego for four days. I will have my laptop be onsite when I can but will probably not be able to respond to things as fast as I like too. If anything comes up please e-mail and/or message me here and I respond as quickly as possible. Scott |

We're going for several reasons..the heat in Phoenix right now being one of them but others include her meeting my Mom and Grandparents for the first time. I will have the hammer and the second I know of or see any spam I will bang on it heavily..:-) |

yeah but the spam has usually been there offending myself and others for up to to 4 hours as it is. i guess we will have to put up with more for longer now |

@nikkels, I have suggested a change to the system for a permanent means of stopping spam, but as far as I know it's not going to be implemented |

While I hope Scott has a nice time. I would like to point out that a lot of the extra work he has to do, such cleaning out comment spam, is only necessary because there are no systems in place to block it. A simple change to the system would make such tedious work unnecessary, and any of us who have approval rights could simply approve any first time posts from new members, or not, thereby ensuring that comment spam never showed up on the site, and by default blocking spammers who invariably post under a new name each time. |

That is something I hope to change in the future Tracy, I agree it is something we need. Until then, if someone sees spam message or e-mail me and I will get on it ASAP. |

I for one like spam comments at the top of new threads. It gives me a great chance to say silly things that I know will be zapped soon...er or later. ;-) |

I am home, alive and well. I watched it rain more in 3 hours on our way back from San Diego than I have seen it rain in a year. and of course by the time we got into Phoenix..not a cloud in the sky..lol. Scott |

Actually Scott I know someone else in Pheonix, he's an escort rider, acting as a traffic controller for funeral processions, among other things. |
