Now a Linux based OS with many open source packages, with an open source based VM (dalvik), with many components "Taken away" from linux is the Google OS... Are you saying that Android is the all work of Google? When will we all begin to appreciate the hard work of the Free Software community? If we don't respect ourselves, who will do? |

The reason for Android success is the power of the money, but the basis for is stability and solid features is the hard work of many people, not Google alone. Even the language selected for development was "borrowed" from the community and now you come and say to all of us that Android is the sole property of Google. Why in the world will Google put the sources available for anyone if Android was their own development? They know they need to put all of the sources available, to comply with the license of many of its components. |
