I did a fair amount of work with one of the divisions at ARC back in the '80s and never ran across a McDonald's while I was on-site. (The food in the NASA cafeteria's was excellent so why go to McDonald's in the first place?) Maybe it was already gone by then or maybe it was tucked away in a corner of the facility that I never got to. Does anyone know just where it was located on the base?

Rnturn, I, also, worked at ARC. It is possible the McDonald's is over on the Navy side of the installation, which was still Navy when I worked there and therefore somewhat less accessible than the NASA side.

Since its decommissioning, the Navy side of Moffet Field has been "privatized" for fashionable boutique IT start-ups and "maker-space" incubators. This kind of thing would fit in perfectly.
