I got "caught" in the LinkedIn web about 8 years ago.......There was slight advantage at the time because of a commercial directorship I held, but that all came to an end in 2007.....I have not logged into LinkedIn now for 5-6 years and have no use for it. I seem to have been quietly forgotten by all concerned and prefer it that way. Whether it is a spam machine or not, I have no idea, purely because I don't use it and don't want to be caught in its tentacles again.......
