I tend to use OpenShot because I know how to work it, and it's not terribly crashy.

I would like to figure out another video editor, maybe KDEnlive.

I use KDEnlive and have for many years. It seems more stable lately. But that may depend on your system and distribution. The feature set is amazing, but that could lends itself to a steep learning curve.

I've tried OpenShot, shotcut and Kino.

Olive is an up and coming NLE. It shows great promise and taking contributions from Patreon. Fairly alpha quality at the moment, but I think it is one to watch.
