I think you are right maybe not due to the SCO fiasco but because IBM is the 800 pound Gorilla in the Patent World. Just look at the IBM / SCO case. IBM counter sued on 2 patent violations by SCO. IBM not only has the biggest portfolio (at one point they got more patents annually than the 2 thu 9 others combined if memory serves) but they have the best patent lawyers on the planet. |
