The Codeweavers blog posts in the run-up alternated between pride and caution in regard to user expectations, but now that I’ve tried the alpha release they really should have dialed up the pride more.

The WINE developers and community have typically been hard at work to fix issues, particularly with big AAA games. Usually with a bit of a wait before we see enough supported libraries for the title to function properly. Now it appears a Linux user has already managed to get the latest Doom Alpha running on WINE.

The Bordeaux Technology Group released Bordeaux 2.0.10 for Linux today. Bordeaux 2.0.10 is a maintenance release that fixes a number of small bugs.

Wine's translation status page shows only 12 complete translations. We'd like to do better for 1.4.
