Some time ago, most of the LXD team at Canonical were laid off, and LXD was removed from containers.org.  Incus was forked from LXD and, so far as I'm concerned, is the future of containers on Linux.  It also manages KVM VMs too.  Granted, I'm not much of a fan of application containers.  Here's a video announcing the release of Incus 6.0 LTS.  Enjoy!

The Open Source Summit was held this week in Japan.  The Linux Foundation has been pretty quick to post the videos on YouTube but currently in very long, everything-that-happened-in-this-room-that-day format.  I fished this clip out and converted it to av1/opus in a webm media container. If you can't play that, use something that is compatible with those codecs/container format.

What Linux distro do you use?  Ever find yourself needing or wanting to use a different distro or application from a different distro?  distrobox is a front-end for podman (or docker) that makes it quick and easy to install any of many different mainstream Linux distros.  What makes distrobox interesting is that it automatically integrates with your host desktop with regards to your user home directory and graphical applications.  Easily run graphical applications from most any distro.  Enjoy!
