Less than a month after beta releases began, Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.1 has been officially been released. This is a major update to Oracle's virtualization platform they received from the 2010 acquisition of Sun Microsystems.

Among the features for VirtualBox 4.1 are PCI pass-through support, many fixes, GUI enhancements, an experimental Windows WDDM graphics driver, experimental support for Serial ATA hot-plugging, and much more. A detailed change-log is available for those interested.

VirtualBox 4.1 for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, and Solaris is available from VirtualBox.org.
