Linux 3.5 released

Kernel Log penguin Linus Torvalds has released version 3.5 of the Linux kernel. Together with the upcoming 1.13 release of X Server, Linux 3.5 offers better support for hybrid graphics. New tools for performance monitoring can now keep an eye on userspace software, new filter mechanisms for seccomp (Secure Computing Mode) enable programs to set up syscall filters, and infrastructure enhancements improve the security of Linux Containers (LXC). As usual, the new version also brings with it a variety of new and revised drivers, including support for "FireWire Target Disk Mode", a feature familiar to many Mac users.
