A third release candidate of VirtualBox 4.2 was released this week.

VirtualBox 4.2 is the next major release of Oracle's virtualization platform through its acquisition of Sun Microsystems. VirtualBox 4.2 features improved support for Microsoft Windows 8, GUI improvements, support for up to 36 network adapters, experimental support for drag-and-drop to Linux guests, an enhanced API for guest control, and much more. There's already been some VirtualBox 4.2 benchmarks on Linux.

Surfacing on Wednesday of this week was VirtualBox 4.2 RC3. This third release candidate offers up more fixes. If you're interested in more information or Linux, Solaris, OS X, or Windows download links, see the VirtualBox.org Forums.
