The second Alpha images of the upcoming Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 distribution was announced yesterday, September 13th, by Jeremy Bicha and the Ubuntu Gnome Community.

After just ten days from the first Alpha release of Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10, a Ubuntu-based operating system powered by the GNOME desktop environment, the second development version is now available for testing.

This release comes with GNOME 3.6 Beta 2 (including GNOME Shell 3.6 Beta 2 and GDM 3.6 Beta 2), redesigned both the lock and login screen, GNOME Package-Kit, and updates apps like Epiphany, AbiWord, Gnumeric, Cheese, Gwibber, Rhythmbox, Shotwell, Simple Scan, and Transmission.

Download Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 Alpha 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is an alpha version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
