Slackware 14.0 Linux Released

Today's been quite a busy news day for a Friday, but it's not over yet. Slackware 14.0 was released today after being in development for more than one year.

Slackware 14.0 offers the choice of the Xfce 4.10.0 and KDE 4.8.5 desktops, integrates the Linux 3.2.29 kernel, and has both the "huge" and "generic" kernels available. Some other Slackware 14.0 changes include X11R7.7 packages, glibc 2.15, support for NetworkManager, GCC 4.7.1 is the default compiler, updated development tools, and much more.
