The OpenSuSE Project, through Henne Vogelsang, announced a few days ago that the upcoming openSUSE Conference 2013 (oSC13) will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece.

openSUSE Conference 2013 will take place in July, 2013, in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, Greece.

“To make this the most awesome conference ever, we are looking for people who are willing to help out. We need you!”

“There is a lot of organizing to be done, logos to be drawn, websites to be designed, schedules to be made, hotels to be booked, sponsors to be found and a million of other things you can help with,” said Henne Vogelsang in the official announcement.

The openSUSE Conference 2012 organizers are asking the openSUSE community to send session proposals and to participate in the making of the event. “If you're looking for a chance to give back to the openSUSE community this is it!”

The openSUSE Conference is an annual event that gathers together all sorts of open source and free contributors, in order to collaborate on one of the biggest Linux operating system, openSUSE.

The openSUSE Conference event is a great opportunity for free and open source software experts from all over the world to gather together and share their knowledge in exciting talks, social events and workshops, all under the openSUSE moto: "Have a lot of fun."

Many openSUSE developers, users, and foundation leaders will be present at the event to discuss the future of the openSUSE Linux distribution. “Let's get going and make oSC13 in Thessaloniki the best conference ever!” said Henne Vogelsang at the end of the announcement.

The upcoming openSUSE 12.3 Linux operating system will see the light of day sometime in March 2013, followed by openSUSE 13.1 in November 2013 and openSUSE 13.2 in July 2014.
