Canonical announced last evening, April 2, in a security notice that a new upgrade for the Linux kernel packages in its Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) operating system is available, fixing three vulnerabilities found by various developers in the Linux 3.0 kernel packages.

These are the three vulnerabilities found in the Linux kernel packages by various developers (Emese Revfy, Mateusz Guzik, etc.): CVE-2013-0914, CVE-2013-1767 and CVE-2013-1792.

As usual, you can click on each one to view more details about it and how it affects your system, or go here for in-depth descriptions, as they affect other Linux operating systems as well.

These security flaws can be fixed if you upgrade your Ubuntu system(s) to the linux-image-3.0.0-32 (3.0.0-32.51) package(s). To apply the update, run the Update Manager application or follow these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Security/Upgrades.

Don't forget to reboot your computer after the upgrade!
