Intel Releases System Studio Extended For Linux

For benefiting embedded Linux developers with greater system performance and power efficiency, Intel has ported their System Studio Extended software to Linux.

System Studio Extended is commercial Intel software for embedded/mobile developers to speed development and testing by providing "deep hardware and software insights" through their debuggers and analyzers. Intel promotes this software as being able to "boost system power efficiency and performance using system-wide analyzers, compilers and libraries."

Up to now the software only worked on Windows, but Intel has now made this software targeting embedded/mobile developers for Linux. More details on Intel System Studio Extended for Linux can be found via yesterday's announcement or the software product page.

Intel gives out a 30-day evaluation license for System Studio but after that point a single commercial license of the software will cost $1,999 USD or $3,499 if including their JTAG debugger.
