SilverStone Air Penetrator AP123

While not directly Linux related, this afternoon at Phoronix we are looking at the SilverStone Air Penetrator AP123. If you're looking to make your "Tux" powered computer system a bit cooler this summer, the SST-AP123 is a great way to quietly do so.

The SilverStone SST-AP123 is the company's latest Air Penetrator computer fan. Building upon the AP121 technology from three years ago, the AP123 case fan features blades with three distinct shapes in order to purposefully create uneven airflow. With the uneven airflow, SilverStone believes this fan should be quieter as a case fan while delivering high airflow and static pressure for great performance. There's also an integrated fan grille for reducing noise.

The SST-AP123 is a 120mm case fan that works for mounting within a computer chassis or directly to a CPU cooler. The main selling point of this fan is the noise reduction while still delivering top-notch performance we have come to expect out of SilverStone products. SilverStone sent out two SST-AP123 case fans as samples to Phoronix.
