Immediately after the release of Linux kernel 3.9.10, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced on July 13 that the first maintenance release for the stable Linux 3.10 kernel series is now available for download.

Just like Linux kernel 3.9.10, Linux kernel 3.10.1 is a small release that includes a few updated drivers, fixes for the HPFS and NFS file systems, as well as other small changes.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.10.1 kernel. All users of the 3.10 kernel series must upgrade."

"The updated 3.10.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.10.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary," Greg Kroah-Hartman said in the official release announcement.

As usual, all users of the Linux 3.10.x branch are urged to upgrade their systems as soon as possible.
